Heidi Gardner

Heidi Gardner’s creative desire and untamed imagination began during early childhood years spent in Buffalo, NY, where she grew up a classically trained ballerina. But by boarding school, she felt artistically repressed and suffocated by the surrounding overt conservatism. With an intense need for self-expression, Heidi became a prolific painter, and it was through this art that she was able to create without expectation and pressure. These paintings defined her point of view of life & death through a study of skeletal structures, often deformed or disassembled. This penchant for the macabre, enhanced by an adoration for Hieronymus Bosch, Salvador Dali, Otto Dix, Alfred Kubin and vintage thrillers, then became inspiration for Heidi’s esoteric jewelry collections. Each design stems from this original imaginary world.

Heidi lives in NYC and is never seen without wearing a few of her own creations. After all, they’re her voice.
